Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is excited about the prospect of welcoming AC Milan to Fratton Park for a UEFA Cup clash in late November.
Pompey were drawn alongside the Italian giants in UEFA Cup Group E and Redknapp says the club's fans will enjoy a superb evening on the South Coast.
He told The News: "It's a great draw for the club, it really is. Absolutely fantastic.
"I think most of the fans would have loved to have gone to the San Siro and that would have been great for everybody. I would have loved the chance of taking a team there myself.
"But the good thing is that the fans who wouldn't have been going can now see AC Milan at Fratton Park.
"The fans can come to Fratton Park and see an outstanding team like that playing at close hand. That is fantastic for them and they deserve it.
"Who would have thought a few years ago that this club would have been playing AC Milan? A team like Milan coming here, superb."
