Redknapp - Pompey 'panicked'

Former Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp believes the club did not give Tony Adams enough time to prove himself as a manager.[LNB] Adams took over at Pompey when Redknapp left for Tottenham in October. But the former England captain did not last long at Fratton Park, being sacked on Monday after losing his last four games, including an FA Cup defeat to Championship side Swansea.[LNB]Redknapp thinks that owner Alexandre Gaydamak rushed into the decision because he needs to make the club look attractive to potential buyers.[LNB]"It's crazy. They were five minutes away from beating Liverpool at the weekend," he told the Daily Express.[LNB]"If he had won that game then who knows? I think they've been a bit hasty. He deserved longer. Tony works hard at this job and he has got a lot to offer.[LNB]"Gaydamak wants success and is looking to sell the club. He sees that, if they go down, it's going to do (lose) his money. So he probably panicked." [LNB]
