QPR manager Neil Warnock is confident of having Tommy Smith available for Saturday's Championship visit of Middlesbrough.[LNB] Smith's deadline day switch from Portsmouth was rejected by the Football League but the clubs are now trying to arrange a loan deal for the striker.[LNB]"I think he'll be involved in the squad," Warnock told Sky Sports News.[LNB]"It will have to be a short-term loan which we are looking into. We were disappointed at the time but Tom is looking forward to the challenge and he will fit in well.[LNB]"We'd like to make it permanent, he's one I've chased for many years and it's nice for me to have him on board."
