Primus waits on Pompey role
13 May 2009 - 07:21:10
Veteran defender Linvoy Primus is hoping to secure a job at Portsmouth at the end of his playing career.
The 35-year-old has suffered with long-standing knee problems in recent times and is already planning ahead.
He told The News: "We're working on things at the moment, I want to be here long term.
"Things are changing in my life and I'm getting older, but I want to be around the club still.
"Once we're safe, things will be sorted out. I'm sure that I will be here in some way, this is home for me.
"The general feeling is once we're safe, we'll know what is going to happen.
"It was good to hear Peter Storrie say he wants to arrange something, but you don't know things are finalised until you see them on paper.
"Hopefully, we can get our place in the Premier League sorted and then we can sort things out."
