Potters handed Pompey tie

Stoke's impressive Carling Cup third-round fightback against Blackpool has seen them rewarded with a last-16 tie at Portsmouth.[LNB]The Potters, who had success the League Cup in 1972, found themselves 2-0 down at the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday, but goals from Danny Higginbotham, Matthew Etherington and Ricardo Fuller gave them a 3-2 lead.[LNB]Ben Burgess immediately hit back for the Championship side before Andy Griffin's last-minute strike sent Stoke through to the fourth round.[LNB]The tie will be played at Fratton Park during the week beginning October 26.
