Dunne back for Pompey

James Dunne returns to the Portsmouth squad for the visit of his old club Stevenage.

The midfielder has served a one-match ban and is set to be one of a number of changes to the starting line-up after Pompey crashed 3-0 at Bury in his absence on Saturday.

Boss Andy Awford ditched his 3-5-2 formation at half-time and could start with a flat back four against Boro while the likes of Nicky Shorey, Ricky Holmes, Patrick Agyemang and Craig Westcarr are pushing for recalls.

Centre-halves Jack Whatmough (hamstring) and Adam Webster (knee) are set to miss out again along with long-term injury-victims Tom Craddock, Wes Fogden (both knee) and Danny East (ankle).

Stevenage will be without Calvin Zola when they make the trip.

The 29-year-old striker is set to miss the next six weeks with an ankle injury he sustained in training as he recovered from a hamstring problem which has kept him out since September.

Graham Westley was busy last week as he added four midfielders to his squad and Dave McAllister, who started in Saturday's win over Accrington, will be involved again along with Jack Jebb and Charlie Adams while winger Josh Clarke will hope to make a matchday squad for the first time.

Boro are searching for back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
