Stevens suspended for Royals visit

Portsmouth will be without Enda Stevens when they host Reading in the Capital One Cup second round.

Full-back Stevens serves a one-match ban after he was sent off during Saturday's dramatic 3-3 draw against Morecambe.

Boss Paul Cook will make changes with defender Ben Davies set to rest an ongoing leg injury, while striker Jayden Stockley could start after his goalscoring appearance as a substitute.

Midfielder Kal Naismith remains sidelined with a thigh injury.

Alex Fernandez is set to make his full debut for the Royals.

The Spanish midfielder, on a season-long loan from Espanyol, made his first appearance as a late substitute in Saturday's goalless draw against MK Dons.

Boss Steve Clarke may also see the trip to Fratton Park as the opportunity to name Peru winger Paolo Hurtado in the squad for the first time.

Dominic Samuel, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Garath McCleary are set to miss out again through injury.
