Aaron McCarey continues in goal for Portsmouth against Exeter

On-loan goalkeeper Aaron McCarey will continue to deputise for leaders Portsmouth, who on Tuesday host Exeter in League Two, with both Paul Jones and Brian Murphy still injured.

Manager Paul Cook is now also without Adam McGurk, who injured his ankle while warming up during Saturday's 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.

Long-term absentees Ben Close and Jack Whatmough are still unavailable.

Cook can, however, again select Michael Doyle, after the midfielder was suspended last time out.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale will give late fitness tests to left-back Jamie McAllister and playmaker Ryan Harley.

The pair have been absent for the last two games with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively but the Grecians chief will not rush them back into the first-team picture.

Will Hoskins made his first start of the season against Wycombe at the weekend and will hope to retain his place after a spell on the sidelines.

Captain Matt Oakley came through the game against the Chairboys with no problems following an ankle injury so should retain his place.
