Portsmouth set to ring the changes against Crawley

Portsmouth boss Paul Cook is set to recall a number of first-team players for their Sky Bet League Two clash against Crawley.

Cook fielded a new-look team as he made 11 changes in the 4-3 defeat against Yeovil in the Checkatrade Trophy and may change to a 4-4-2 formation.

Michael Smith could retain his place in the side after hitting a hat-trick, while Reading loanee Dominic Hyam will have to wait to make his debut for the club as he away on international duty with Scotland Under-21s.

Pompey will be without Adam Barton after the defender signed for Labrokes Premiership side Partick Thistle on deadline day.

Aliu Kaby Djalo will be hoping to make his debut for Crawley after signing for the club on deadline day.

The 24-year-old former Chelsea youngster signed a two-year deal but could be unavailable if his international clearance does not come through in time.

Reds manger Dermot Drummy has no fresh injury or suspension worries for the trip to Fratton Park.

Jordan Roberts (foot) remains on the sidelines.
