Double doubt for Pompey

Daniel Alfei and Andy Barcham are injury doubts for Portsmouth's home game against Burton.

Full-back Alfei missed Saturday's goalless draw with Cheltenham after returning from Wales Under-21 duty with a hamstring problem, and winger Barcham suffered a thigh strain in training on Friday.

Striker Ryan Taylor returned as a sub against the Robins after three games out with a groin injury and should be involved again.

But defender Danny East (ankle) and midfielder Simon Ferry (back) are set to miss out once more.

Burton travel without central defender Ian Sharps.

Sharps limped off with a calf injury midway through the second half of the impressive 2-1 victory at Oxford. Marcus Holness replaced him on Saturday - making his first appearance since the 3-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon on September 21 - and he is set to start alongside Shane Cansdell-Sherriff on the south coast.

Albion boss Gary Rowett has hinted at other changes to his starting line-up and there is a possibility that Lee Bell could come in for Matty Palmer, who according to Rowett looked tired at the Kassam Stadium.

Saturday saw goalkeeper Rob Lainton play the last game of his month-long loan spell from Bury but Rowett is confident of extending the deal to the 93-day limit permitted by Football League rules.
