Wallace sits out Stanley clash

Portsmouth will be without Jed Wallace through suspension when they host Accrington.

Midfielder Wallace picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 3-1 defeat at Tranmere a fortnight ago and serves a one-match ban.

Winger Ricky Holmes could also miss out with a thigh problem and striker Ryan Taylor is a doubt due to an ankle injury, but defender Joe Devera should be available after hamstring trouble.

Devera, Adam Webster (knee) and Danny East (groin) played for the reserves in midweek but the latter needs more game time having been out all season, while James Dunne is still recovering from a knee injury.

Andy Procter faces a late fitness test for Accrington.

The midfielder was forced off against Yeovil because of a groin strain and will be assessed in the build up to kick off for this fixture.

Both John O'Sullivan and fellow loanee Sean Maguire come back into the reckoning having been ineligible to play the Glovers in the FA Cup.

Jack Rose will continue in goal after the West Brom loanee extended his initial one-month stay into the new year.
