Taylor doubt for Stanley meeting

Portsmouth will check on Ryan Taylor ahead of the visit of Accrington.

Striker Taylor missed the 5-1 humbling at Scunthorpe on Saturday with a groin injury but could return at Fratton Park.

Aston Villa loanee Michael Drennan is in line for his full debut having provided the only bright spot in a miserable afternoon when he climbed off the bench to score Pompey's equaliser.

Winger Andy Barcham could miss out as his wife is due to give birth but midfielder Simon Ferry (back) and defenders Joe Devera and Danny East (both ankle) are close to returning.

Kal Naismith is likely to be restored to Accrington's starting line-up as they look to continue their impressive away form at Portsmouth.

The striker was on the bench on Saturday on his return from a hip injury but came on against Torquay and scored a brilliant winner, which is likely to force him into James Beattie's XI.

Danny Webber missed out at the weekend through illness and could be absent once more, meaning teenager Max Hazeldine could occupy a place among the substitutes again.

Stanley have recorded three successive clean sheets on the road but will be without defender Laurence Wilson again as he serves the second game of a three-match ban.
