Portsmouth speak out in cash row

Portsmouth have complained to the Football Association and the Italian federation over Genoa's failure to pay monies owed for the transfer of Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The 23-year-old left Fratton Park for Genoa in a £5million deal in the summer before subsequently being loaned out to AC Milan. Genoa missed the first instalment due a few weeks ago and administrator Andrew Andronikou has raised the matter with the governing bodies.

"Genoa were due to pay the first instalment two weeks ago," he told the Portsmouth News.

"We've been listening to excuses. We've had enough. We complained last week on the 15th and got a response saying 'sorry, we mistook your bank details'.

"A week later, it doesn't look like the cheque has even hit the post."
