The same source that broke the news of Manchester City's Abu Dhabi takeover last summer today claimed that an Arab tycoon has agreed to take over at Portsmouth. According to Arabian Business, UN Goodwill Ambassador Sulaiman Al Fahim has signed a deal that will see him take full control at Fratton Park in the very near future. The UAE businessman is now in Rome attending the Champions League Final as a guest of the current Portsmouth owner Alexandre Gaydamak, and the two men have been putting the final touches to the takeover. Arabian Business claim the deal is being arranged through Al Fahim's new investment vehicle Al Fahim Asia Associates (AAA). It has been structured by specialist international private equity and asset management firm Falcon Group.
