Portsmouth reject new £3m West Bromwich bid for captain Marc Wilson

West Bromwich Albion have failed in an improved £3million bid for Portsmouth captain Marc Wilson.[LNB]Pompey want to hold on to the versatile midfielder despite being strapped for cash and had already rejected a £2m opening offer from the Baggies.[LNB]Fratton Park administrator Andrew Andronikou said: 'West Brom offered us £3m plus add-ons but that has been turned down.[LNB] Rejected: Portsmouth are desperate to hold on to captain Marc Wilson[LNB]'Steve Cotterill (the manager) does not want to sell such an important player. At the moment, as a club he is not a player we have identified to sell.
