Portsmouth players still waiting to be paid: Pompey miss third deadline

Portsmouth failed again to pay their players yesterday as the club'sunder-fire board were told their transfer ban looks set to remainthroughout January.[LNB] Pompey directors and representatives of owner Ali al Faraj met withPremier League officials to discuss the financial crisis at FrattonPark and were told the embargo on new signings, which was imposed inmid-October, will not be lifted unless substantial outside investmentis secured, something which looks extremely unlikely.[LNB] Commitment: Portsmouth players have remained focused despite the cash crisis[LNB] The players are still waiting for their December wages which are now aweek late.
