Loan ranger: Peter Storrie[LNB]Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie hopes the club's players will be paid their December wages on 'Monday or Tuesday'. [LNB]The club had hoped the outstanding player salaries would beprocessed on New Year's Eve, but the monies did not clear beforeyesterday's Bank Holiday. [LNB]However, Storrie believes there is light at the end of the tunnel. [LNB]'My understanding is it is additional loans they are currently in the process of dealing with,' he told BBC Radio Solent. [LNB]'It is obviously not the best (situation) in the world that you can't pay the players' wages.[LNB] 'They (the owners) were looking to bring a major bank loan in andthat's what has slowed the process up. They are trying to do that now. [LNB] 'My understanding from them is that there is a short-term loan coming in to pay the wages and the players' wages should be paid on Monday or Tuesday, I believe. That is our understanding.'[LNB] PORTSMOUTH FC: All the latest news from across the webJANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW 2010: All the moves and gossip for every Premier League clubTottenham set to end Jamie O'Hara's loan spell at Portsmouth[LNB] [LNB]
