Portsmouth have tabled a £3m bid for Egypt international striker Amr Zaki. The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic - but has since returned to Cairo with Zamalek after failing to earn a permanent deal with the Barclays Premier League club. Zaki had a major impact with the Latics during the opening months of the season alerting the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa and Real Madrid. According to skysports.com, there is now money to spend at Fratton Park thanks to new owner Sulaiman Al Fahim and the club will now attempt to push a deal through before Tuesday's deadline.
