A problem hindering a planned takeover of troubled npower League One club Portsmouth by a group of fans may have been solved.

The High Court was due to analyse issues relating to the sale of Portsmouth's Fratton Park stadium on Wednesday.

But lawyers representing administrators and former owner Balram Chainrai told a judge in London that "terms had been agreed in principle".

More detail is expected to emerge later.

Portsmouth were placed into administration in February 2012.

A group called the Pompey Supporters' Trust has put forward a takeover proposal.
