Portsmouth are hoping to finally come out of administration around the middle of next month.

The Football League meet on September 9 when they are expected to approve Pompey's CVA and pave the way for Balram Chainrai to regain control at Fratton Park.

Administrator Andrew Andronikou told The News: "The club should come out of administration on or around September 15.

"The Football League is due to meet on September 9 and about a week later we should be able to complete the sale of the club."

Pompey will remain under a player-registration embargo until they exit administration while the transfer window closes at the end of August.
