Avram Grant's dream of rescuing some FA Cup glory from the ashes of Portsmouth's financially troubled season are fast collapsing. [LNB]It has been confirmed that Hermann Hreidarsson and Danny Webber, both injured against Tottenham on Saturday, will not play again for six months. [LNB]And, with only 11 days to go before Portsmouth's reunion with Tottenham, in the Cup semi-final at Wembley, the Fratton Park treatment room is busier than the casualty unit at Holby City. [LNB] Double blow: Pompey pair Hermann Hreidarsson and Danny Webber (below) both needed oxygen after they were injured at Spurs and later ruled out for six months[LNB] With a dozen players struggling for fitness, Grant is certain to have to throw in unblooded youngsters for Blackburn's visit to the south coast on Saturday for their Barclays Premier League match. [LNB]And he may face the same desperate player shortage at Wembley, particularly in defence, where he could be without Marc Wilson, Tal Ben Haim and Nadir Belhadj as he tries to plot a way to stop former Pompey favourites Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch. [LNB]Enlarge But it is the loss of Hreidarsson, who may have played his last game for the club as he is out of contract at the end of the season, which has particularly distressed Grant. [LNB]The Icelander has torn an achilles tendon and Grant said: 'It's very sad for Hermann, he's a great person. He played against Spurs with an ankle injury. [LNB]'We wanted to let him rest one month ago and because we didn't have players he played with the injury.' [LNB]It was first thought Webber had dislocated his knee at White Hart Lane. Now it has emerged he has ruptured his cruciate ligaments and will undergo serious surgery next week to reconstruct the joint. [LNB]Speaking about the prospect of throwing youngsters into his first team, Grant added: 'I cannot say that they are ready but, if we need them, then they will have to play.' [LNB]  The only ray of light for Grant has been offered by Portsmouth's joint administrator Andrew Andronikou. [LNB]Despite getting permission from the Premier League to sell players to raise money against the club's £70 million debts, he has said the fire sale will not start until after the Cup semi-final.[LNB]  Harry Redknapp reveals agony of Hreidarsson after achilles injuryNadir Belhadj injury scuppers move from Portsmouth to CSKA MoscowPORTSMOUTH FC
