Sulaiman Al Fahim has been rushed to hospital as the turmoil at Portsmouth took another dramatic twist. The Pompey owner was taken in for treatment after kidney pains in Dubai on Thursday night. Al Fahim, 32, is now due to undergo an operation today to remove kidney stones. The Arab was admitted to the emergency ward where he has undergone as series of tests. He is likely to remain in hospital over the weekend. Fahim insists the news will not affect his position at Portsmouth. 'This will not have any impact on the refinancing or management of Portsmouth,' said his spokesman Ivo Gabara. It comes as Al Fahim insists he is going nowhere with Portsmouth fighting for their future. Sportsmail has revealed that the Pompey owner's plans have been thrown into doubt after a rival consortium was called in to pay the players' wages. Chief executive Peter Storrie is understood to have come to the rescue by using his relationship with Ali al-Faraj to broker a deal. Saudi property magnate Al-Faraj will pump £5million into the beleaguered south-coast club to ensure the players are paid. But Al Fahim, in a series of texts to The Guardian, says he is determined to continue in his bid to secure Portsmouth's future. Crisis: Chief executive Peter Storrie revealed the club had 'run out of money' 'I am feeling sorry for this big club with its heritage to be in this situation,' he said. 'I am finalising the £50m finance to save it.' Al Fahim insists the money will come in later this month, although he was somewhat coy on its origin. 'It's from the USA and secured by myself and comes as an investment from me to the club' he added. 'I am taking the loan on my security and my liability, not the club.' 'It's not a loan to the club but a loan to me. Which means the club will have an investment from me and I am personally responsible for the debt.  'And it's from an international financial institution. But I am working with their USA office. I am always there for the club. I am here for the long term.'
