Portsmouth hit back to claim fourth straight win

Portsmouth came from behind to make it four league wins in a row with a 4-2 victory over Wycombe at Fratton Park.

Conor Chaplin scored his first goal of the season to give Pompey a 3-2 lead going into half-time.

But it was Wycombe who drew first blood as Paul Hayes found the back of the net from close range after 10 minutes.

The home side hit back in the 34th minute when defender Christian Burgess bundled the ball over the line.

Pompey were awarded a penalty in the 42nd minute after Sido Jombati was adjudged to have blocked Gareth Evans' header with his hand. Roberts made no mistakes from 12 yards as the ball hit the roof of the net.

Wycombe's Hayes fired in his second goal with an impressive finish to equalise in time added on at the end of the first half, but Chaplin immediately restored Pompey's lead, lifting the ball over Anthony Stewart in the area and then heading the ball over a charging Jamal Blackman.

Portsmouth's fourth goal came after 53 minutes as Carl Baker got on the end of an Enda Stevens cross to volley in.
