Hollands hits treble in thriller

Portsmouth's Danny Hollands signed off his season with a hat-trick, but it was not enough to deny Plymouth a 3-3 draw at Fratton Park.

Pompey's early pressure paid as Ryan Taylor produced a pinpoint cross, which was headed home by Hollands from close range in the 31st minute.

The visitors responded against the run of play when Reuben Reid turned on to Luke Young's cross and lashed in a leveller four minutes later.

Parity lasted just two minutes as Hollands stabbed home his second from Ricky Holmes' low ball from the right.

Plymouth produced another rapid equaliser when Conor Hourihane curled a superb free-kick into the bottom corner four minutes before the break.

Hollands completed his hat-trick when he nodded in the all-action Holmes' cross from the left two minutes after the break.

But Plymouth rescued a point two minutes from time when Hourihane made Pompey pay for sloppy defending by driving home a loose ball in the box.
