Pompey put three past Crawley without reply

Loan duo Matt Clarke and Marc McNulty help gift Portsmouth a simple 3-0 win over Crawley - keeping the pressure on the top three in Sky Bet League Two.

Defender Clarke brought down the curtain on his stint on loan from Ipswich with his first professional goal, although he is expected to extent his deal next week - a fine near post header to convert Ben Davies' corner.

Striker McNulty, whose own future at Fratton Park from Sheffield United is not assured, added a second two minutes before the half-hour mark when he slammed in Enda Stevens' low cross.

The hosts had chances for a third, Clarke again meeting a Davies set-piece but this time he nodded the wrong side of the post.

Former Pompey flop Sonny Bradley nearly put through his own net and Caolan Lavery had his firm header blocked on the line as the Blues showed no mercy.

Gwion Edwards clattered the bar for Crawley, but Gary Roberts ended his injury woes to add a clincher on the counter with seven minutes to go.
