Luton keeper Mark Tyler keeps Portsmouth at bay

Luton goalkeeper Mark Tyler was the hero as he helped hold Portsmouth to their sixth 0-0 draw of the season.

Veteran Tyler was at his very best to deny dominant Pompey, with a double block at point-blank range to stop Gareth Evans and Marc McNulty the most impressive of his six excellent saves.

Tyler looked in top form from early on as he got down smartly to push away Sheffield United loanee McNulty's low effort arrowing towards the bottom corner.

In the 37th minute the veteran keeper made a quick-fire double to deny Pompey a first-half lead, firstly blocking Kyle Bennett's long-ranger then denying McNulty at the back post.

Right-back Ben Davies was next to have Tyler scampering, although his free-kick curled just wide of the post and into the side netting.

Pompey continued to have the best chances after the break as skipper Michael Doyle headed over at the near post before Matt Clarke's firm nod was well held by Tyler.
