25 Jul 2009 - 16:27:30
Promising Croatia international Nikola Kalinic is being linked with a move to Portsmouth where he would team up with internatinal colleague Niko Kranjcar.
The 21-year-old forward's agent has revealed that two Pompey representatives are hoping to agree a deal with the Hajduk Split star, who is believed to be available for £6million.
FC Porto, Real Zaragoza, Bologna and Valencia have all been linked with the player who has been involved in a series of petulant incidents.
However, he is in demand after scoring 15 goals last season for his club.
Kalinic has been described as the future of Croatian football after representing his country at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level.
He was included in Slaven Bilic's Euro 2008 squad last summer and made an appearance from the substitute's bench in the 1-0 victory against Poland.
