Portsmouth have rubbished reports suggesting they had lined up Vahid Halilhodzic as their new manager.
The Bosnian coach of the Ivory Coast national team was reported to be in line to take the reins at Fratton Park as part of Sulaiman Al-Fahim's prospective takeover of the club.
But executive chairman Peter Storrie insists the stories are wide of the mark.
Pompey are currently managed by caretaker boss Paul Hart, whose future should Al-Fahim takeover the south coast club remains unclear.
Speaking about Halilhodzic, Storrie told the Portsmouth News: "It's complete and utter rubbish. There's nothing in it at all.
"We've had no discussions or meetings whatsoever."
Meanwhile, Storrie has also denied fielding any bids for Peter Crouch despite claims of interest in the England striker from Blackburn Rovers.
He added: "Peter's one of our major assets. He's someone we want to keep and build a team around."
