Reports suggest Portsmouth boss Paul Hart has made an offer for Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack who has also been linked with a move to Hull City this summer.

Hart is in the market for a new forward after selling Peter Crouch to Tottenham on Monday evening and Sky Sports News says McCormack could be heading to the south coast.

However, the Pompey boss insists there is no chance of David James or Sylvain Distin leaving Fratton Park this summer.

Portsmouth have lost a host of big-name players already this year including Glen Johnson, Sean Davis, Lassana Diarra and Jermain Defoe as well as Crouch.

However, Nadir Belhadj could be sold, with Hart saying: "I've seen what's been said about Belhadj and I don't know anything about that.

"I said players could be sold. It would be wrong to talk about certain players. Nadir is a quality player - but let's see what happens.

"But 'I don't think we'll be selling Sylvain or David. They're here, they're contracted so I'm not expecting them to leave."
