Pompey close to Kanu deal

Portsmouth are close to finalising a deal to sign former Arsenal and West Brom striker Kanu.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is a long-time admirer of the 30-year-old Nigerian and hopes to secure his services in time for him to play in Saturday's Premiership opener against Blackburn Rovers.
Redknapp told The Sun: "He'll be a great addition to the squad. Kanu is a clever footballer and a good all-round player."
Kanu's imminent arrival will not halt Portsmouth's search for new forwards, as injuries to Lomana LuaLua and Benjani have left them short up front.
Redknapp added: "I desperately need two more strikers."
Press reports have linked Pompey with club record bids for Villarreal's Diego Forlan and Internazionale's Obafemi Martins.
