Portsmouth have wrapped up the signing of Fulham's midfield powerhouse Papa Bouba Diop for a fee of around £2.5million.
The 29-year-old Senegal international has penned a three-year contract at Fratton Park, having been keen to leave Craven Cottage before the transfer window slammed shut.
He told his new club's official website: "It's nice to be here. It's a good move for me and a good move for the club.
"It was an easy decision to make and I am very happy. I am going to be working very hard.
"Three years ago was the first time I'd come to England and I didn't understand English football very well.
"Now I understand it very well and I'm happy that I'm at Portsmouth."
Diop joined the Cottagers in the summer of 2004 from French side Racing Club Lens and went on to score nine goals in 84 appearances for the Londoners.
