A senior source from the Football League has said that Pompey won't be deducted points for the 2010/2011 season.However, if Pompey are still in administration by the time the 2011/2012 season arrives, then the club faces a huge points deduction or even expulsion from the league.According to Football League rules, they will not allow a club to be hit by a points deduction for two consecutive seasons, so long as a CVA can be agreed.The news will be music to the ears of Pompey fans who feared a possible spiral into oblivion. The rules effectively mean that Pompey have a year to get out of administration and become a stable club.That could happen next Thursday at the creditor's meeting, but I expect this saga to be dragged on with the rival CVA proposal from Griffins.
