Pompey will sell Johnson if price is right
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie has admitted Glen Johnson could leave Fratton Park this summer.
Johnson enjoyed arguably his best season in the Barclays Premier League last term as he established himself as England's first-choice right-back and, in doing so, attracted the interest of bigger clubs.
Storrie has confirmed that interest in the former Chelsea defender, with reports suggesting some clubs are willing to pay up to £18million for the 24-year-old.
Although Storrie refused to be drawn on the details of such a deal, he did say something could be struck "in the not-too-distant future".
"It is very hard to hold someone back in Glen's situation. I accept that," Storrie told Sky Sports News.
Asked if the player could leave for a fee of up to £18million, Storrie added: "You could be right. On the numbers we will keep that private. But you may not be million miles away. He is attracting the big clubs. We need to be fair to Glen, see what Glen wants to do and see what is right for him and for Portsmouth."
