Championship side Bolton Wanderers will come to Fratton Park for a pre-season friendly match to be played on Saturday, August 4th.
It is hardly the prestigous home friendly many Pompey fans would have been hoping for but beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. Ticket details will be announced closer to the match.
The season officially begins for Portsmouth with a Carling Cup first round tie on Tuesday, August 14th with the first league game coming on the following Saturday, August 18th.

Havant & Waterlooville (A) - Saturday, July 14th (3pm)
Gilbraltar (A) - Friday, July 20th (8pm)
Another game in Gibraltar may possibly be played with the team still abroad.
Aldershot (A) - Wednesday, August 1st (7:45pm)
Bolton (H) - Saturday, August 4th (3pm)
AFC Wimbledon (A) - Wednesday, August 8th (7:45pm)
Salisbury (A) - Saturday, August 11th (3pm) (A Pompey XI will play this game)
