Pompey To Exit Administration Next Month

19 August 2010 19:38
Better late than never, I suppose. Andrew Andronikou has pencilled in the date of September 15th for Portsmouth Football Club to exit administration. The Pompey administrator said "The Football League is due to meet on September 9th and about a week later we should be able to complete the sale of the club."Obviously, this means that Pompey won't be bought in time to have the registration embargo lifted by the time the transfer window ends on August 31st, but there may be a window to sign some loan players from Premier League clubs after that date.In the meantime, I'm simply glad that the club looks to have come through the worst of times and if Chainrai keeps his word, then at least Pompey will have a stable future.Andrew Andronikou also revealed that none of Chainrai's £15 million "emergency money" was used whilst Pompey were in administration, as the club spent around £8 million in three months.
