Pompey star keeping options open

Portsmouth believe midfield lynchpin Sean Davis will wait until the end of the season before deciding whether to sign a new contract.Davis' current deal expires in the summer and he has been offered a three-year extension to stay at Fratton Park.He was a target for Celtic during the close season and was also the subject of a failed bid from Bolton Wanderers during the January transfer window. The former Fulham man recently revealed he wanted to stay at Pompey and was upset that his contract situation had not been resolved. However, executive chairman Peter Storrie says Davis has been offered fresh terms, but is keeping his options open."Sean has been offered a three-year contract," said Storrie in the Daily Mirror. "We made a very good offer and actually improved it."But I think he just wants to wait and keep his options open until the end of the season."We would like him to stay, but it is in his hands now."[LNB]
