Pompey down to bare bones

13 August 2010 10:31
Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill will once again choose from a threadbare squad for the visit of Reading. Cotterill has named just four substitutes in Pompey's first two games and is still without Hermann Hreidarsson (Achilles), Danny Webber, Tom Kilbey (both knee) and Billy Goddard (shin). Veteran Nigerian striker Kanu is still unavailable as he has yet to agree a new contract while Kevin-Prince Boateng, John Utaka and Tommy Smith are being linked with moves away from the club. But skipper Marc Wilson will play after Cotterill rejected a bid from West Brom and defender Aaron Mokoena returns from international duty with South Africa. On-loan Stoke midfielder Ibrahima Sonko will make his home debut against his former club.
