Portsmouth defender Carl Dickinson needs an operation on his injured knee. The on-loan Stoke defender missed Tuesday night's defeat at QPR with the problem and could now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. "Carl will be going in and having a knee operation. It could be short-term or long-term," said Pompey boss Steve Cotterill. "He will definitely have to have something done, it's just the severity of what he has to have done."
