Norwegian winger signs three-year-deal. Portsmouth have finally confirmed the signing of Norwegian winger Erik Huseklepp from Bari in a deal reported to be worth £1.5 million to the Italian club. The 26-year-old has been capped 21 times for his country, scoring 6 goals. He scored twice for Bari in 14 appearances after signing for them from SK Brann in January, where he scored 29 goals in 118 appearances over 6 years. Huseklepp has been championed by many people which has seen Pompey fans excited about his arrival at Portsmouth. He is said to possess a lot of pace, trickery and has a good cross on him. At 6ft 2'' he should also provide an aerial threat. Hopefully Erik won't perform as poorly as the last Norwegian player to play for Pompey and he will provide the crosses and score the goals that will see his new team climb the league.
