Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill has hailed the return to action of experienced central defender Hermann Hreidarsson.[LNB] The Iceland international's comeback after seven months out with an Achilles injury was unsurprisingly overshadowed by events off the field over the weekend.[LNB]But Hreidarsson came on as a late substitute during Saturday's 2-1 win at Hull and will provide a huge boost to Pompey's threadbare squad over the rest of the season.[LNB]"It's great that Hermann's finally got back on the pitch because he has worked his socks off," said Cotterill.[LNB]"I'm really pleased for him."[LNB]
