Portsmouth defender Noe Pamarot may be drafted in to Harry Redknapp's starting eleven for only the third time in the Premiership this season when Pompey take on table-topping Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Linvoy Primus and Glen Johnson are struggling with injury problems so the 27-year-old French-born defender may earn a rare start.
"We have some injuries at the moment and so I have been trying to get fitter and fitter for this kind of game and I hope I will get a starting spot," the former Tottenham star told Pompey's official website.
"It's nice to be part of the team. We have been getting good results and I am very happy about that and hopefully we will do well at Old Trafford.
"We played well on Saturday (against Reading) and I was quite happy with my game. I think for me the regret is that they scored one goal in the second half, but we did well and I think we should be pleased with that."
Pamarot has started nine games for Redknapp's side since his move from White Hart Lane in January.
