Pamarot eyes rare start

Portsmouth defender Noe Pamarot may be drafted in to Harry Redknapp's starting eleven for only the third time in the Premiership this season when Pompey take on table-topping Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. Linvoy Primus and Glen Johnson are struggling with injury problems so the 27-year-old French-born defender may earn a rare start. "We have some injuries at the moment and so I have been trying to get fitter and fitter for this kind of game and I hope I will get a starting spot," the former Tottenham star told Pompey's official website. "It's nice to be part of the team. We have been getting good results and I am very happy about that and hopefully we will do well at Old Trafford. "We played well on Saturday (against Reading) and I was quite happy with my game. I think for me the regret is that they scored one goal in the second half, but we did well and I think we should be pleased with that." Pamarot has started nine games for Redknapp's side since his move from White Hart Lane in January.
