O'Hara agrees Pompey switch

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara has signed a new contract running until the summer of 2013, before joining Portsmouth on loan until the New Year.

The 22-year-old has struggled to secure a regular first-team spot at White Hart Lane and is looking forward to more opportunities with Pompey.

He told his new club's official website: "It was frustrating to be sat on the bench at Tottenham. "Hopefully I can come here and get some games under my belt.

"My agent told me that Paul Hart was really interested a few days ago and Harry Redknapp asked me if I'd like to go out on loan.

"It's a chance to play for a side who have done really well over the last few years, so I jumped at the opportunity."
