Peter Crouch will meet Fulham in the hope of finalising his £12million transfer from Portsmouth. The England striker met Sunderland boss Steve Bruce on Thursday but is keen to keep living in London, with Bruce admitting: 'We'll keep our fingers crossed but obviously location is the big thing.' Fulham manager Roy Hodgson said: 'Crouch is a player we're interested in - but, there again, so are a number of others.' Bruce remains keen on Tottenham's Darren Bent, Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh and has already signed Fraizer Campbell, but has moved to re-assure Kenwyne Jones of his future. He said: 'Kenwyne's still a big part of my plans. He's a very, very good player but we need three or four strikers and the lads are intelligent enough to understand that.' Fulham, meanwhile, are also looking to sign highly-rated Olimpic Ljubljana goalkeeper Jan Oblak, 17, who is already a Slovenia international. Oblak rejected a contract from Italian club Empoli to travel to London and hopes to sign over the next week. Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy's move to Hull has broken down amid concerns over his medical. Hull, who expect to sign Bobby Zamora from Fulham, had agreed an initial fee of £1.5m. Former Portsmouth and Charlton winger Jerome Thomas, 26, is to train with Hull as he looks to find a new club for the coming season.
