Lazio close in on Pompey duo

Portsmouth duo Nadir Belhadj and Kevin-Prince Boateng are on the verge of moving to Lazio for a combined transfer fee of £8million.

Administrator Andrew Andronikou traveled to Rome earlier this week for discussions about the proposed deal which is crucial to finding the cash needed to fund the Company Voluntary Arrangement which will secure Pompey's future.

Meanwhile, youngsters Tom Kilbey and Joel Ward have agreed new deals with the club.

Midfielder Kilbey has signed for 12 months and Ward has penned a two-year agreement.
