Lawrence return boosts Pompey

Liam Lawrence returns from suspension for Portsmouth's trip to Barnsley. The on-loan Stoke winger has served a one-match ban following his red card in the recent 1-1 draw against QPR. But Pompey will be without defender Carl Dickinson, who begins a three-game suspension after he was sent off against Doncaster on Saturday. Dickinson's absence could pave the way for Hermann Hreidarsson to start his first match of the season. The veteran Iceland international has only made two brief substitute appearances since recovering from a career-threatening Achilles injury but is the only recognised left-back available. Fellow defender Greg Halford will be involved after extending his loan spell from Wolves for a second month.
