Lampitt reveals Pompey player interest
Portsmouth chief executive David Lampitt is hoping the World Cup will have provided the perfect shop window for the club's best players.[LNB] Administrator Andrew Andronikou is looking to generate £15million from player sales in order to fund the Company Voluntary Agreement with the club's creditors.[LNB]Nadir Belhadj, David James, Aaron Mokoena, Kevin Prince-Boateng and Kanu have all appeared in South Africa and could be on their way out of Fratton Park.[LNB]"We've had quite a bit of interest in our players now," Lampitt told The News.[LNB]"The World Cup always makes a difference because there is always a bit of a hiatus while that is on. Obviously a number of our players are out there now and in the shop window.[LNB]"Fingers crossed that will make them more attractive to prospective buyers. The process of looking to move on certain people is an ongoing process. But we need to maximise the value we can get from them."
