Kranjcar starting to impress

Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar says he is finally adapting to life in England and has no plans to leave the South Coast just yet.

The 23-year-old Croatia playmaker has taken time to find top form for Pompey, but is starting to revel in Harry Redknapp's improving side and wants to carry on the good work.

He told The News: "I'm happy here, I'm not thinking about bigger clubs. I'm thinking about playing as well as possible for Portsmouth in every game.

"I've had highs and lows. Now I want to enjoy myself and stay on a high for as long as possible. I'm not thinking about other clubs or people and what they think of me.

"The physical side is different here and I have joined a team who defends and attacks equally, whereas in Croatia the team I played for were dominant and attacked 80 per cent of the time.

"Also there is the speed of the game and speed of thought here.

"When I play my aim is to put someone else in rather than shoot, always. But the coaches here are telling me I don't shoot enough."
