Kranjcar passes Spurs medical

Sky Sources understand Niko Kranjcar has passed his medical at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of his proposed switch from Portsmouth. A fee in the region of £2.5million is said to have been agreed between the two Premier League clubs, with Tuesday's transfer deadline looming. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has acted quickly in identifying Kranjcar after the Croatian's compatriot Luka Modric fractured his fibula at the weekend. Redknapp worked with Kranjcar during his time at Pompey before leaving the South Coast for White Hart Lane last season. Kranjcar is set to become the fourth high-profile player to leave Portsmouth this summer, with Glen Johnson, Peter Crouch and Sylvain Distin all departing.
