iko Kranjcar has promised Portsmouth fans will see the best of him in his current floating role.[LNB] The Croatian playmaker has been asked to play just behind a lone frontman under caretaker boss Paul Hart, with Pompey taking four points from their two games since Tony Adams' dismissal.[LNB]Kranjcar admits he prefers the freedom afforded to him when asked to operate centrally, with the position giving him greater opportunity to get on the ball and influence the game.[LNB]"I believe that is my best position, but I have rarely played there for Portsmouth," he told The News.[LNB]"When I came over I knew in England it's a position I wasn't going to play that often, but when I get the chance to I really enjoy it.[LNB]"As long as I'm in the team I'm happy, but I think the manager knows what my best position is.[LNB]Dangerous"When the new management team came in they said 'Niko, we believe this is where you are most dangerous' and it has given me a smile.[LNB]"I like the freedom and the closeness to goal, the chance to make the assists and to get a goal myself.[LNB]"Every player and every person has a different opinion about football so it's not my position to moan. I need to perform, I need to play where the coach puts me and try to do it every single game. But it's where I believe I play the best.[LNB]"I play on the left for Croatia but in the Euros against Germany I played off the striker and that was probably our best game of the tournament.[LNB]"Back home in Croatia for Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb I always played behind the striker. But the most important thing is the team gets the results. Whether I play left, right, middle, it doesn't matter."[LNB]
