Knight Recruited As Goalkeeping Coach

The "legend" returns to Fratton Park.

Alan Knight has returned to Portsmouth FC as a goalkeeping coach to replace the departed John Keeley.

The man who has made over 800 appearances over four decades will coach Simon Eastwood and Phil Smith until the end of the season.

With this appointment made, it seems like reports of David James returning to Portsmouth in a player-coach role are false. Tabloid newspapers suggested that the former Pompey stopper was open to a move back to Fratton Park after being dropped from the Bournemouth team.

What are the odds on Knight putting on the gloves again before the season is out!?
